The MSU-Northern Skylights volleyball season came to an end over the weekend. The Skylights were defeated by the University of Providence in the first round of the Frontier Conference Volleyball Tournament (0-3).
Despite an earlier ending to the season than hoped Head Coach of the Skylights, Jerry Wagner, was very proud and grateful for his team.
“Overall, having to re-invent ourselves halfway through the season after being 8-1 and being able to do that at a high level in a highly competitive conference was very gratifying for us and says a lot about these kids.” – Wagner
Coach Wagner is already focusing on the future, saying the key to progressing as a team is to continue focusing on the depth.
“We need to keep building the depth, and that’s already started. I got people visiting this week and had numerous calls yesterday. We are lining up kids that are fighting to get up here.” – Wagner
An overall successful season for the Skylights, and one to build off of.
