The MSU-Northern volleyball teams stumbled at the Ottawa University-Arizona (OUAZ) tournament over the course of the last two days, falling to three different opponents.
On Thursday, the Skylights played a doubleheader and lost to both Benedictine Mesa and the hosts Ottawa University-Arizona. In the Mesa game, Northern was swept, three sets to none, (20-25, 18-25, 22-25), while not being able to beat OUAZ in a rematch held five days prior, losing (25-18, 21-25, 25-16, 24-26, 8-15). Friday morning provided no relief in a (23-25, 25-19,13-25, 18-25) defeat to Arizona Christian.
The Skylights (5-4) will be back to action for a scrimmage against Medicine Hat College on Sep. 5, which will take place inside the Armory Gym. The festivities will begin shortly before 12pm as elementary school kids from around the Hi-Line will pack the arena and scream loud and proud for their Skylights.
