Skylights Youth BB Camp begins Monday

(Havre) The MSU-Northern Skylights basketball youth camp, for Kids in grades K-5, is set to tip off on Monday June 16th and continue through the Wednesday the 18th.

New Media Broadcasters spoke with Skylights head coach Chris Mouat, who stated the camp will be a fun positive experience for the kids while focusing on introductory level basketball skills.

“We divide it into two groups, which I think makes sense because we do have smaller hoops that we put up for the kindergarten through second grade group that goes in the morning. With that group especially focus on a combination of introductory basketball skills with games that emphasize those skills. So, I think we just really try to provide a good, positive experience for two hours a day. Make it fast, move quickly from activity to activity and then have lots of hand on deck to work with the little ones that are there. So, in that group that’s kind of what we’re looking at.”

They will start at 9am for kindergarten through 2nd graders and will run till 11am, which will be followed by the 3rd through 5th graders from noon to 3 each day. For more information about the camps visit golightsgo.com
