HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Small Business Administration (SBA) announced the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) will come to a close June 30.

The $349 billion dollar program brought about by the CARES Act has provided over half a trillion dollars to small businesses in need during COVID-19.

SBA Director Dan Nordberg said, “The Paycheck Protection Program has accomplished its mission, and the numbers back it up. May’s job report showed unexpected gains in America’s economy, especially in sectors like hospitality, agriculture, construction, and leisure that heavily relied on CARES Act loans.”

All small businesses are still eligible to apply for a PPP loan through June 30.
