HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Hill County Community Foundation will be hosting their 2nd annual Spring
for the Arts event on April 27th at the Historic Post Office in Havre from 6 to 10 PM. Foundation Chair Pam Veis says that last year’s event allowed them to grant out almost $6,000 more than the year before.
“We were able to specify that part of the proceeds raised would actually be granted out, and so as a result of last year’s event, it was successful and we were able to grant out $7200 dollars last fall.”
Veis says they provide grants to local non-profits for specific projects that must fit one of their focus areas.
“We do have focus areas for these projects, so it’s not just any old project. The focus areas are arts & culture, community beautification and basic human needs, but as people know, that actually covers a pretty wide array of projects.”
They will be hosting a prime rib and shrimp dinner and tickets cost $45. Call 390-4947 for reservations. Space is limited so people are encouraged to reserve early.
