State Superintendent Elsie Arntzen hosted a community conversation at MSUN regarding education. School leaders, legislatures and more attended the conversation to discuss both the concerns with the education system as well as to highlight potential solutions. After the conversation superintendent Elsie Arntzen explained her biggest take aways.
“There were a lot of solutions that were given, yes problems were there, and I am very pleased that you can rip that band aid off and start talking about what does it mean to have a teacher and you’re a single income and you have a family and you’re paid maybe $32,000 and you have inflation that has tripled since the pandemic. So authentic conversation I think is the number one thing I can talk about. That people do care. They showed up today because they care.” – Elsie Arntzen
