(Havre) A new step towards the completion of the Camp Kiwanis Beaver Lodge in Beaver Creek Park was completed Tuesday, January 9th as the board has decided on what the heating system for the Lodge will be.
Chairman Jeff Jensen said they’ve decide to go with the LP Gas system and boiler, with floor heating. Jensen also said that they will also have provisions in place for geothermal heating in the future, should that heating type become a feasibility.
The board has a heating system that was donated to them, but utilizing it is unrealistic for the lodge. The heating system is manufactured for a much larger building, and the board was advised that running it at half capacity would wear down the unit quickly.
The next park board meeting is Monday, February 5th at 5:30pm.
