Stone Child College President Receives National Recognition

DENVER (NMB) – The American Indian College Fund (AICF) honored Tribal College students and staff earlier this month at a virtual ceremony.

Stone Child Rollege President Cory Sangrey-Billy was named the Tribal College Honoree of the Year. Sangrey-Billy received a $1,200 honorarium for her dedication to her tribal college community.

Sangrey-Billy is a graduate of MSU-Northern and has a master’s degree in information technology. She has worked at Stone Child College for 20 years, beginning as a Native American vocational technical education program coordinator. She was named academic dean in 2006 and has been President of the college since 2017.
