Havre, MT – Success always starts with leadership, for Chinook High football, that is well displayed in the upperclassman.
After two weeks of official practice for the Chinook SugarBeeter football, leadership has risen, and the team is ready for the season opener.
Leadership is something every athletics program needs. Hea coach of SugarBeeter football, Mike Jones, spoke to how his upperclassman have taken that mantel.
“We have good leadership this year. I feel like I say that every year, but I think our seniors are building upon what last year’s seniors left and what the seniors left before them.” Coach Jones said. “You know I’ve seen a lot of juniors step up too, so I’m really excited about how our upperclassman and the leadership they have kind of exhibited so far in the first couple weeks here.”
That leadership from both the juniors and seniors will be on display in Chinook on Friday as the SugarBeeters are set to host Choteau in the season opener at 7p.m.
