Suspects Arrested and Hospitalized after Pursuit

HILL COUNTY, Mont. (NMB) – A Monday morning vehicle pursuit that started on the Rocky Boy’s Reservation and ended in Beaver Creek Park resulted in the arrest and hospitalization of two suspects.

Rocky Boy Police were the lead agency in handling the pursuit and requested assistance from the Hill County Sheriff’s Office at 10:49 AM.

Hill County Sheriff Jamie Ross says that by the time the Hill County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene, the suspects had parked the vehicle near a cabin and fled on foot.

The suspects were eventually apprehended and arrested.

The alleged driver, Jerome Bigknife of Rocky Boy (born 1993), is facing pending charges that include criminal mischief, driving with a suspended or revoked license, operating an unregistered vehicle, and fleeing or eluding law enforcement. Bigknige was also served with prior charges, including theft and unauthorized use of a vehicle.

The alleged passenger, Nathel LaMere of Great Falls (born in 1980), is facing a felony probation and parole warrant for absconding.

Ross says that a fire pit was damaged during the pursuit.

Ross says that upon arrest, law enforcement took life saving measures when they discovered that the suspects were overdosing on drugs.

Two Havre Fire Department ambulances arrived at the scene and transported the suspects to Northern Montana Hospital.
