HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The 2020 Hill County 4-H Fair will be streamed live this year from the Bigger Better Barn via Facebook July 17-19.
Family Consumer Science and 4-H Agent Jasmine Carbajal said it will be a condensed version, but they are very excited for the event.
“We are very excited to be offering our fair virtually this year through our Facebook page. We are going to be combining shows this year. So, we condensed our schedule to three days. Usually our fair is a lot longer – obviously. So, because this year we are going to be doing it live on Facebook a lot of our listeners can actually see the shows in one day. ”
Agriculture and 4-H Extension Agent Tom Allen said with COVID-19 they are implementing safety measures, so they will be providing various ways buyers can purchase animals.
“You can come to the sale if you feel comfortable but if you don’t feel comfortable coming up, being there in person, we will have a virtual sale –we’ll have it on Facebook live. You can also contact our office so we can arrange somebody to be a proxy bidder for you if you’d like.”
Allen said they know it’s been a tough year for families and businesses, so they are encouraging the community to team up when buying animals.

Friday, July 17:
- 10 a.m. Horse Show
- 4 p.m. Dog Show
- 6 p.m. Beef Show
Saturday, July 18:
- 8 a.m. Swine Show
- 1 p.m. Sheep & Goat Show
- 3 p.m. Round Robin Show
Sunday, July 19:
- 10 a.m. Small Animal Show
- 1 p.m. Market Sale
