The Havre Blue Ponies girl’s basketball team traveled to Miles City to confront the Cowgirls while the Havre boy’s basketball team hosted the Cowboys in the Blue Pony Corral on Friday night.
The girl’s game was slow going with a low scoring first half with Miles City leading Havre 17 to nine. But that all went away and the Blue Pony girls finished in the lead after the third frame, Havre 44, Miles City 19. At the start of the fourth quarter it was all but over for the Cowgirls and the Blue Ponies girls never let up as they topped the night with a final Havre 55, Miles City 35.
The next game for the Blue Ponies girls is against the Bulldogs in Hardin on Saturday, on KOJM 610 AM, game start at four PM.
The Havre boy’s game was game-long seesaw action from tip to the final buzzer as Kayden Jenkins landed the clincher to win the game, Havre 54, Miles city 51. The next game for the Havre Blue Pony boys is Saturday in the Blue Pony Corral with a 4PM tip off.
