HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – A threat referencing a school shooting was found written on the wall of the boys bathroom at Sunnyside School in Havre shortly after noon Thursday. Superintendent of Schools Andy Carlson says the school worked with Havre Police and determined that there was no credibility to the threat.
“We put up on our website exactly what it was, because that’s one of the things we got from the Community Forum. People want to know what’s going on. Honestly, I think in some of that nature anymore it’s best to just to let the folks know what happened and that’s really how we’re going to operate going forward. We did a ‘Hold in Place’ while we tried to sort things out and once we thought we had a pretty good idea of what was happening, we lifted the ‘Hold in Place’.”
This is the third threat found in Havre Schools this school year. Carlson says that this most recent threat is not connected to the threat found at Havre High School last month. He believes the incident at Sunnyside has been resolved.
