Two Hill County Detention Officers Reportedly Assaulted

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – In a press release on Monday, the Hill County Sheriff’s Office reported that two Detention officers were assaulted by an inmate over the weekend.

The incident occurred at around 2:50 PM on Sunday, with the suspect being 29-year-old Thane Michael Gray of Havre.

Deputies responded along with Havre Police and contained the suspect.

The two officers were transported to the Hospital and were treated for injuries received in the assault. The suspect was also taken to the hospital to be treated.

All were released by the end of the day on Sunday.

The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.

According to the Detention Center inmate list on Monday morning, Gray faces pending felonies of assault on a Peace Officer and Aggravated Assault with Bodily Injury.

According to the Havre Police Department’s incident log, Gray was arrested early Friday afternoon after a disturbance was reported at Northern Montana Hospital’s emergency room.

With that incident, Gray was arrested and faces pending charges of assault (minor injuries), and a probation violation.
