(Missoula) – After a year of renovations the University has reopened the historic Knowles Hall for student occupation.
The renovation of Knowles Hall cost $18 million, and was paid for through the issuance of debt bonds and is the first major project completed in University of Montana’s $150 million student-facing infrastructure renewal. Improvements to the building include the addition of exterior balconies as well as a reconfigured first floor to accommodate lounge and study spaces.
Students began to move back into the 252-bed residence hall last week, which is also home to the Honors Living Learning Community.
