
FORT BENTON, Mont. (NMB) – 2021 marks the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument, and a special event has been set up to commemorate the milestone.
A celebration of the Monument will take place on Saturday, August 28th from 10 AM-4 PM at the Missouri Breaks Interpretive Center in Fort Benton (701 7th Street).
No admission will be charged to enter the Interpretive Center on August 28th. In addition, there will be special programs featuring guest speakers, booths highlighting the history of the Monument, and interactive games and activities.

The Upper Missouri River Breaks National Monument spans 149 miles and remains largely unchanged in the nearly 200 years since Meriwether Lewis and William Clark traveled through it on their journey.
