(Havre) – United States Congressman Troy Downing recently visited with New Media Broadcasters about how he is working with his House of Representative’s colleagues to pass the Fort Belknap Water Compact.
US Representative Troy Downing: “Well, it’s important to me, and I’m working really hard to emphasize the importance of that. And what that means, you know, with the water compact to finally, you know, getting some closure, and this has been going since twenty… two thousand one, I believe. So, twenty-four years plus. Uh, getting closure on there, uh, how important this is to our farmers and ranchers, in and off reservation.”
