(Havre) – The Montana Actors Theatre will be performing a rendition of the Velveteen Rabbit July 27th through the 29th and August 3rd through the 5th at the Montana State University Northern Theatre. The Director of the play Maggie Daniels explains what inspired the play.
Initially, we had some troubles with casting our initial show Almost Maine. So myself and the other interns kind of had to regroup over the weekend and we were reading through a bunch of different plays and the name Velveteen Rabbit just kept sticking out as I was reading through these different play websites. And then we read the debrief the other interns hadn’t heard their original story and so we played like a YouTube version of someone reading it out loud and we all just fell in love with the story so we decided this was the show for us.
