BABB, Mont. — The Milk River Project reports that as of Wednesday, water is once again flowing through the St. Mary system.
Crews successfully started up the St. Mary Diversion Dam in Babb that morning, sending water through the newly rebuilt siphons later in the day.
The milestone follows over a year of work, from emergency response to full reconstruction.
Project leaders thanked contractors, partners, and supporters for helping reach this point.
More updates are expected as the water continues moving downstream.
