Chinook on Boil Order after Line Break

CHINOOK, Mont. (NMB) – Several hours after an emergency water line break early Tuesday afternoon shut off water, repairs were completed and water was back on.

The City says they did not receive notice of the water being shut off and were caught by surprise by the announcement.

There will be a boil order in effect until October 26th for Chinook as they await getting water samples back from the state.

During the order, do not drink water without boiling it first. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, washing dishes, brushing teeth and food preparation.
