(White Sulpher) The owners of the Black Butte Copper project say they’re getting closer to starting construction.
The mine itself will be hundreds of feet underground, below Sheep Creek. What will eventually be the entrance to a long access tunnel is now clearly visible on a hillside.
Officials say its likely to be well over a year before construction work gets going again in earnest, and the entire construction process will take around two years.
They also say that both the county and city governments have pitched in grants to help expedite the process.
