Wicks Named to USDA FSA Post

CHESTER, Mont. (NMB) – Liberty County Commissioner Maureen “Morb” Wicks has been appointed to the position of USDA State Executive Director for the Montana Farm Service Agency.

Wicks has been a Commissioner for the past eight years and a farmer for decades.

In a statement, U.S. Senator Jon Tester said “Wicks has a long track record of doing right by the Treasure State’s rural communities,” and he “has no doubt she’ll lead Montana FSA in the right direction.”

In 1998, Wicks became the first woman elected to the Liberty County FSA, where she served for 16 years.

She has experience serving on numerous Boards and Committees and is currently a member of the Montana Grain Growers and the Montana Farmer’s Union.
