WINIFRED, Mont. — Montana State University has named Johanna DeMars of Winifred a 2025 Presidential Scholar, the university’s most prestigious scholarship award.
DeMars, a graduate of Winifred High School, plans to study mechanical engineering with a minor in precision agriculture.
She grew up on a third-generation ranch, served as president of her FFA and BPA chapters, and was active in sports, music, and community service.
The scholarship includes a tuition waiver and annual stipend and is renewable for up to four years based on academic performance.
