WYOMING (NMB) – Two Wolf Point residents were killed and a third was injured in a three-vehicle crash in southwestern Wyoming on Sunday.
The Wyoming Highway Patrol says the crash occurred at around 2 PM on Interstate 80, when the driver of a GMC Sierra did not see that a Toyota RAV-4 and Ford F-150 were stopped in traffic due to a recent crash. The Sierra hit the Toyota, which then hit the Ford.
Two occupants of the Toyota, both from Wolf Point, were killed. The driver, 71-year-old William J. Baker died after being transported to a hospital, while juvenile passenger Scobey J. Baker was pronounced dead at the scene. They were wearing seatbelts.
The other occupant of the Toyota, a 19-year-old from Wolf Point, was injured and transported to a local hospital.
It is not clear if the driver of the Sierra will face charges.
