HELENA, Mont. (NMB) – The Independent Record reports that a spectator at the inaugural Septemberfest Soapbox Derby in Helena on Saturday was hospitalized after being hit by a homemade vehicle.
The woman that was hit was conscious and stretchered into an ambulance. The homemade vehicles were required to have a driver and two pushers and could weigh no more than 200 pounds. They were made with items such as bike tires, plywood, and garbage cans.
The event was cut short due to the incident.
