MISSOULA, Mont. (NMB) – The Missoulian reports that a domestic violence homicide on Monday morning in Missoula left a woman dead and a man hospitalized.
Police were dispatched to a reported stabbing on South First Street West at 1:15 AM after receiving a call from a man who said he was just stabbed in the chest by his girlfriend. Police say the man did not answer the door when officers arrived, forcing them to kick in the door.
When they entered, they located a deceased woman with multiple stab wounds in the living room.
The man also had multiple knife wounds but was verbally responsive in the bedroom. He is expected to recover from his injuries and has undergone surgery.
The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
The woman’s body is undergoing an autopsy.
