MAMMOTH HOT SPRINGS, Wyo. — Yellowstone National Park has closed select rivers and streams to fishing daily from 2 p.m. to sunrise due to warm water temperatures and low flows.
The affected waters include the Madison, Firehole, and parts of the Gibbon rivers.
Park officials say the closures aim to protect trout from lethal stress and will remain in effect until conditions improve.
Lakes and unaffected streams remain open, and anglers are urged to fish during cooler hours and handle fish carefully.
