Yellowstone Experiencing Record Visitation

YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK, Mont. (NMB) – The Cody Enterprise reports that in the midst of a record year of visitation, officials at Yellowstone National Park are pondering ways to reduce congestion.

The Park is on pace for as many as 5 million visitors this year, and June and July both saw over 1 million visitors.

Park Superintendent Cam Sholly says that although timed and/or ticketed is not imminent, it is a possibility in the years to come.

Any changes would be preceded by a lengthy public comment period and consultation with various stakeholders.
