2 Killed, 1 Injured in Pondera County Rollover Crash

VALIER, Mont. (NMB) – Two people were killed and one was injured in a rollover crash late Sunday morning in Pondera County.

The Montana Highway Patrol reports that the crash occurred at 10:59 AM at mile marker 8.9 of Secondary Highway 358, when a 20-year-old Browning man driving a Chevy Equinox southbound failed to negotiate a left curve. None of the three occupants of the vehicle were wearing seatbelts. They were all ejected, and the driver and one passenger, a 26-year-old woman, were pronounced dead at the scene.

A second passenger, a 22-year-old-male, was transported to a local medical center for treatment.

The names of the victims have not been released.

Alcohol is a suspected factor in the crash.

The road was clear and dry.
