PONDERA COUNTY, Mont. (NMB) – On Wednesday evening, a man was killed in a single vehicle rollover wreck in Pondera County.
The Montana Highway Patrol reports that shortly after 5 PM, a 90-year-old Arizona man was traveling north in the southbound lanes of Interstate 15 near mile marker 341 when he realized there was oncoming traffic and swerved into the median to miss it. His vehicle rolled into the median. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. The man was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
Speed and alcohol are not believed to be factors and the crash is still under investigation. The drivers name has not yet been released, pending notification of the family.
