HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Havre’s Public Works Department recently started replacing concrete in the street at the corner of Second Street and Third Avenue in downtown Havre. Director Dave Peterson says the intersection is partially blocked off, but people should be able to navigate around the construction.
They are replacing a chunk of concrete in the street where the town Christmas tree used to be displayed, until they moved the tree to the Town Square after it was built. The asphalt they used to originally repair the area has deteriorated and they want to replace it with concrete to match the rest of the road.
Peterson says the construction shouldn’t take long, but the concrete will take five to seven days to set up before people can start driving on the new patch.
