HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – On Monday in Hill County District Court, Jaylen Jake Crazyboy was charged with three felonies in connection with burglaries that occurred this Sept. in Havre.
The charges of felony of burglary, deceptive practices and theft relate to a string of incidents that occurred in September 2019.
According to court documents, on the morning of Sept. 12, Crazyboy entered a Havre home and stole a woman’s purse. Included in the purse was a credit card and keys to a 2015 Nissan Altima and 2017 Toyota Camry. Crazyboy then attempted to use the card to make purchases totaling over $2,800, some of which were successful.
On Sept. 18, a 2015 Nissan Altima and 2017 Toyota Camry were reported stolen. Both vehicles were eventually recovered, although the Altima was not found until Oct. 5 and was partially spray painted black.
The maximum sentence for the crimes ranges from 20 years imprisonment and a $50,000 fine for the burglary to three years imprisonment and a $1,500 fine for deceptive practices.
