Butte, MT – Montana State University-Northern Skylights Volleyball opened their 2026 season in convincing fashion Thursday, sweeping Williams Baptist 25-17, 25-16, and 25-12 at the Butte Civic Center.
Josie Hasler led the Skylights with 14 kills without an error, producing a team-best .667 hitting percentage. Macy Uffelman added 12 kills on 28 swings, while Caleigh Case recorded six kills without an error for a .545 percentage.
MSUN also received a strong all-around performance from Addison Falls Down, who totaled 16 assists, four kills and 10 digs. Emily Bird added 21 assists, while Kambria Maloy contributed half of the team’s service aces with four.
At the net, the Skylights finished with nine total blocks, led by Kendall Scheffelmear with four blocks and Case with two. MSUN’s defense also held Williams Baptist to just 12 points in the third set.
The Skylights will look to build off their strong 1-0 start taking on Arizona Christian tomorrow morning at 9 a.m., and then later facing off against Indiana East at 1 p.m.
