Sports Betting Terminals to be Ready by Late Next Week

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Montana Lottery is working on putting the final touches in place before Montanans can begin wagering on sports.

Jennifer McKee of Montana Lottery says that starting this week, betting terminals will begin to be transported throughout the state from Helena. Once a terminal is in place and an establishment is trained on how to use the machine, the public will be able to use the terminal.

McKee says at the latest, sports betting terminals across the state will be ready for the public to use by late next week.

As of Monday, 186 businesses have had their applications for sports betting licenses approved.

Local businesses with licenses includes Murphy’s Pub in Havre, the Pour House Saloon and the Club House in Fort Benton, the Kid Curry Lounge in Malta, the Cottonwood Inn and Monsons Montana Bar in Glasgow, the Montana Club in Shelby and 4 Aces Casino in Lewistown.

Montana Lottery says there are many applications that are also in the process of being approved.
