MALTA, Mont. (NMB) – The Phillips County Health Department reported on Thursday evening that they were made aware of 16 new COVID-19 cases.

In a press release on Friday morning, the Department said all new cases have been instructed to isolate, and all but two of the cases are symptomatic.

The Department says contact tracing and interviews are ongoing. Direct contacts of these cases will be tested.

Phillips County has now reported 21 total COVID-19 cases, all of which are active.

This does not include the two reported cases in workers on the Keystone XL pipeline in the northern part of the county, as they are not Phillips County residents.
