SWEETGRASS, Mont. (NMB) – The U.S. Border Patrol has announced that last Saturday, they apprehended a citizen of India that illegally crossed from Alberta, Canada on foot into Sweetgrass.
Border Patrol agents at the Sweetgrass Station encountered a person matching the description of an individual spotted by a citizen illegally crossing the border.
The agents questioned the man and learned he was a citizen of India that intentionally entered the U.S. by walking around the Sweetrass Port of Entry to avoid detection.
The man was carrying several bags but nothing was found to be dangerous. He was processed and removed from the United States.
