HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Early Saturday morning, two teenage boys were arrested on burglary charges. Havre Police Chief Gabe Matosich says they received a call shortly after 5 AM saying that the two boys were trying to enter a neighbors garage and shed. By the time the police arrived, the boys had entered another garage, where they were arrested. They were later transported to the Cascade County Juvenile Detention Center in Great Falls.
The two sixteen-year olds from Havre were each charged with two counts of burglary, juvenile curfew violations and possession of an intoxicant by a minor. One of the suspects was also charged with a probation violation.
Matosich says that no damage was found, but several items from each property were taken by the suspects. Some of the items include a hunting backpack, flashlights, clothing, food and alcohol.
