
HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Hill County Health Department has received notification of 24 new COVID-19 cases since Saturday.
Nine of the cases were announced Saturday evening and 15 of the cases were announced Sunday morning.
19 were identified through contact tracing, while five currently have unknown exposures.
In addition, Havre Public Schools was notified Saturday evening that a person associated with the District had tested positive for COVID-19. Staff and students were in contact with the individual during the period of possible exposure.
The individual was last in contact with others in the District at Sunnyside Elementary on Friday, October 2nd.
Those at risk of exposure will be contacted by the Health Department to determine a safe and appropriate course of action.
This is the third COVID-19 case associated with Havre Public Schools since the District reopened for hybrid learning.
Hill County has now reported 236 total COVID-19 cases. 87 are active, including one hospitalization. 146 have recovered and three have died.
