Havre Public Schools Notified of COVID-19 Case

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – A press release from Havre Public Schools Superintendent Craig Mueller says on Thursday evening, they were notified that an individual at Havre High School had tested positive for COVID-19.

The Hill County Health Department says the District’s staff and students were in contact with the individual during the period of possible exposure.

The individual last had contact with others in the District at Havre High School on Monday, September 28th, three days prior to the individual’s diagnosis. The individual has not been in school since Monday.

If any person associated with the District is at risk of exposure, they will be contacted by the Health Department to determine a safe and appropriate course of action.

School officials will continue to monitor the situation and will provide further information if and when it becomes available.

This is the second COVID-19 case the District has reported. The first was in a student at Sunnyside Elementary, reported back on September 20th.
