
BILLINGS, Mont. (NMB) – U.S. Attorney Kurt Alme has announced the awarding of over $6 million in Department of Justice grants to fight drug abuse and addiction in Montana.
Several local organizations are among those receiving grants.
Montana’s 12th Judicial District, which includes Liberty, Hill and Chouteau Counties, will be receiving $500,000 for Adult Drug Court and Veterans Treatment Court.
The Chippewa Cree Tribe will be receiving two different grants. One is a grant of $435,332 for Adult Drug Court and Veterans Treatment Court, and the other is a grant of $600,000 for their Juvenile Drug Court Treatment Program.
The grants were awarded through the Department of Justice’s Office of Justice Program.
