HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – Hill County reported 23 new COVID-19 cases on Monday and had 34 people meet the recovery criteria.
The cases range in age from three people under the age of 10 to two people in their 80’s. The age range with the most new cases was people in their 20’s, with six (2 males, 4 females).
12 of the cases were found through contact tracing, while 11 have unknown exposures.
Hill County has now reported 920 total COVID-19 cases. 284 are active, including 22 hospitalizations. 613 have recovered and 23 have died.
Earlier on Monday, Health Officer Kim Larson issued the Health Officer Order that will go into effect at 5 PM this Wednesday due to the high COVID-19 case rates for Hill County.
It is the same as the draft order provided last week. The order puts the following new restrictions in place for one month, and may be extended at the Health Officer’s discretion:
- Limits capacity to 50 percent at all restaurants/food courts/cafes/coffee houses/bars/brewpubs/taverns/breweries/microbreweries/distilleries/wineries/tasting rooms/special licensees/clubs/casinos
- Limits all group physical gatherings to no more than 25 people, regardless of the ability to social distance
Exceptions apply to:
- Houses of worship (limited to 75 percent capacity and must social distance and follow mask mandate)
- Schools and school-related activities
- Childcare facilities
- Food service establishments that serve populations that rely on them as one of their sole sources of food (ex: University dining, hotel room service, hospital and care facilities)
