OVANDO, Mont. (NMB) – A search is ongoing for a grizzly bear in the Ovando area after it killed a bicyclist in an encounter on Tuesday morning between 4-5 AM, according to NBC Montana.
Fish, Wildlife and Parks says that the bear was spotted on a video camera from a local business on Monday night. They add that the bear also recently got into a chicken coop.
Law enforcement and wildlife specialists are combing the area to try and find the bear, and they do not believe it is in Ovando right now.
