HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – On Thursday, Havre Public Schools will be hosting a Trauma Sensitive School Initiative meeting in the Robins Administration Building at 4 PM. Assistant Superintendent of Schools Craig Mueller says the topics at this meeting are a film festival happening in April and the CONNECT Referral app that connects students facing trauma with appropriate agencies.
Mueller says the group meets monthly to provide resources for parents and teachers. The series began about two years ago.
They will be hosting a film festival April 3rd through the 7th in Havre and will be shown at the Havre-Hill County Library and the Van Orsdel United Methodist Church. The three movies they will show are Resilience, Paper Tigers, and Wrestling Ghosts. A free will donation will be accepted and a community conversation will follow the movie showings.
