HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – On Monday, a Havre woman pleaded not guilty to six counts in three separate cases involving theft and drugs. Kate Lambourne has been charged with two counts of theft, criminal mischief, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She is one of several people being charged in connection with a string of thefts last month, according to Hill County Sheriff Jamie Ross. As of Tuesday, she was being held in the Hill County Detention Center on a $5,000 bond.
Court documents say that on January 12th, Lambourne was accused of stealing a pickup truck, after the driver left the vehicle. She allegedly drove the pickup to a gas station and left it.
On January 30th, Lambourne’s relative told police he found several items that didn’t belong to him in his house. He had been out of town and left Lambourne in charge of his home. Deputies found several items suspected to have been stolen from the John Deere Dealership the day before. She was located and arrested.
On January 31st, a backpack believed to belong to Lambourne was found with methamphetamines inside.
