RUDYARD, Mont. (NMB) – The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) has announced a proposed project to resurface 9.5 miles of US 2 west of Rudyard.
The project begins 1 mile east of Joplin, and extends east, ending just east of Rudyard.
Proposed work includes crack sealing, seal and cover, fog seal and updated pavement markings. MDT says these improvements will preserve and extend the life of the roadway and increase vehicle traction to the surface.
The project is tentatively scheduled for construction in 2023, depending on completion of all project development activities and availability of funding. No new right-of-way or relocation of utilities will be required.
