DARBY, Mont. (NMB) – The Montana Highway Patrol reports that a 39-year-old Hamilton woman was killed in a rollover crash in Ravalli County on Monday evening.
The crash occurred at 8:30 PM at mile marker 26 of US 93, when the woman was driving a Ford 2000 F250 northbound near Darby.
The vehicle drifted off the right side of the roadway and the driver overcorrected multiple times. The vehicle then turned sideways and left the roadway. It then became airborne and struck an embankment before rolling. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected during the roll and declared deceased at the scene.
There were no other occupants in the vehicle.
Drugs and excessive speed are considered suspected factors in the crash.
The road was bare and dry.
