Manager Named for Montana Meat Processing Cooperative

HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The Montana Farmers Union has announced that Bill Jones has been hired to serve as the head of the Montana Meat Processing Cooperative in Havre.

Jones is going to serve as general manager at the member-owned, USDA-inspected meat processing facility.

Jones is a native of Gallatin County and has experience working on farms and a dairy, followed by a long career in the meat processing industry.

The facility is still in the processing of opening. It could also serve as a training ground for MSU-Northern to provide students with hands-on experience, as Northern is proposing a meat processing curriculum.
