FLATHEAD COUNTY, Mont. (NMB) – The Montana Highway Patrol reports that a 22-year-old Libby man was killed on Thursday afternoon after the motorcycle he was driving in Flathead County crashed into trees.
The crash occurred at about 5:12 PM along Whitefish Hills Loop, when the man was driving a Kawasaki EX400 eastbound at a high rate of speed. The motorcycle passed a non-contact vehicle on a corner and the driver lost control.
The vehicle went off the right side of the roadway and crashed into some trees approximately 30 feet off the roadway.
The man had been wearing a helmet.
The road was bare and dry.
