HAVRE, Mont. (NMB) – The free Havre Fourth of July Festival returned on Monday, and organizer Cassie Denny, who stepped up when the event was in danger of being canceled says it was a success.
Denny says more than 400 people flocked to Pepin Park to enjoy food, music, face painting and more, and thanks previous organizer Sherri Simonson for providing assistance.
“The community came together in amazing ways. Everyone loved the music. And it was just really wonderful. Sunny skies, it was definitely a learning experience.”
Denny says she would like to thank everyone that helped make this event a reality, but when it comes to next year’s festival, she will be in need of a Co-Chair.
“It could just be orchestrating a plan throughout the year, coming into July 4th. And it is a lot, it’s just (needing) someone to be enthusiastic and to get all the details worked out. Proper times to request donations and things like that.”
Those interested in helping out can contact Denny by phone at 406-402-9021 or message her on Facebook.
