BOX ELDER, Mont. (NMB) – The first ever Great Plains Veterans Stand Down will be taking place this Thursday from 10 AM-2 PM at the Northern Winz Casino in Box Elder.
John Gardipee of the Great Plains Veterans Services Center says this free event will provide those who served our country with a wide range of services.
“It is to help all Veterans to try and get their medical benefits, their health benefits, maybe find some housing. Veterans Services will have quite a few vendors there to help Veterans get these benefits.”
Transportation is available to local veterans at no charge. To schedule a ride, call (406) 395-5610.
Free lunch will be provided, and there will be door prizes and a raffle.
Attendees are asked to bring documentation verifying Military experience.
This event is open to all community Veterans and their families.
